Our wedding story is sadly more common than you’d expect. We weren’t sure of what we wanted because we’d never stopped to think about weddings until we were planning ours. We love travel and the outdoors but weren’t sure of how to incorporate that into a traditional wedding. We joked many times about eloping but we didn’t know the full potential of an elopement. To us, that just meant running to the nearest temple with some friends and secretly getting married. Eventually, we caved to family pressure and had a large, traditional wedding that left us both exhausted, stressed out, and wishing we had just eloped.
After getting married and before the reception, William and I went out to eat as a married couple and it was the happiest I was all day! We were just sitting there, basking in happiness and love. I didn’t want to go to the reception because I was happy just the two of us but eventually caved out of obligation. I hardly saw my husband at all. We both had people pulling us in so many directions we barely saw each other. When it was finally time to leave we were ready!
It was because of the bad wedding experience I had and the love I have for my husband that I started shooting elopements. Everyone deserves a wedding day they love that is 100% you without any obligations or pressure.
We live in a class C motorhome. We move everywhere with the RV so where your elopement is, we will be there (at least in the Western USA).
We live and work in Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Washington, Oregon & California, sometimes Nevada.
If you want to elope outside the western USA or Internationally that's also OK because we love to travel and would love to shoot your elopement anywhere!
