Mary & Ralph were so great to come to 7 Magic Mountains in Las Vegas for this couple’s session. It did not go as expected at all, but it was one of those cases where it turned out for the better. I had planned a nice picnic in a dried lake bed. It looked like it would be great until suddenly a sand storm came and swept us all away. We had to pack up that picnic real fast to avoid sand getting everywhere.
We hid in our cars until we decided to move to the 7 Magic Mountains which were only 30 minutes away. From there we still had to deal with wind and tourists. The wind and weather made for some very dramatic photos. We had to yell to be heard and have the wind whip through all the jackets we brought but
This is your sign to embrace all of the crazy weather for the most epic photos.
Most people think that Las Vegas is just casinos and the strip but there’s a lot more to it. The Valley of Fire is close by as are the Iconic 7 Magic Mountains. The 7 Magic Mountains are an art project just outside Las Vegas created by Internationally renowned Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. They are just colorfully painted boulders stacked 30ft high but they are gorgeous. I would suggest going early in the morning to beat the crowds and get creative with posing to avoid people in the background.
If you have the chance to visit, I highly recommend it.
